Journal Finder

Among the subscribed databases in AUIB Library and in the Open Access databases available through the Library e-resources page (Journal Finder), This service helps patrons locate specific journals, and in searching the databases in which it is included.

Interlibrary Loan

The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that requests, through loans from other libraries, physical materials, such as books, dissertations, theses, etc. that are required by the AUIB community, but not owned by the AUIB Library. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, and the difficulty in getting print copies from libraries outside Iraq and the related costs, it is recommended that the requester specifies the chapter or pages needed from a book or a thesis, which the library will provide access to in an electronic format as long as the number of pages fall within the Fair Use Frame and does not breach concerned copyright laws and regulations. AUIB faculty, staff and students are required to submit their ILL requests online

Library Catalog

The library catalog incorporates the entire library collection including the print and electronic books which are available for use. To restrict the search result to the print books only use the “Refine this search” on the left side of the screen by selecting “print book” from the “Format” delimiter. The library system that AUIB uses is called World Share Management (WMS), which also searches through all library databases, and library catalogs worldwide.
