The Orientation Week for the current csacademic year took place between the 11th and 14th of January 2026. During this orientation, AUIB libraries created an attractive and interactive booth that drew steady participation from students over the days of activities. The booth featured engaging games, prizes, and helpful resources designed to introduce new and return students to the many services the libraries provide.
Two main activities were organized. The first was a “Question Bowl,” where students picked and answered library-related questions for a chance to win prizes. The activity offered a fun way for students to test their knowledge while learning important information about library services and resources. The second activity challenged students to guess famous book titles based on a series of emojis displayed at the booth.
Prizes were distributed daily and included notebooks, journals, pens, phone magnets, USB flash-drive pens, schedule planners, bookmarks, and other useful items. In addition to the games and giveaways, a QR code was prominently displayed at the table, linking students to a PowerPoint presentation outlining essential library resources and important information they should know. Promotional items provided by VitalSource were also distributed, further enhancing the experience for students.
