Print Collection
The AUIB Library print collection includes more than 10,000 book titles focused on the disciplines taught at AUIB. This collection of books and other print and digital materials will grow gradually every academic year with the introduction of new departments and courses as well as with the opening of new colleges and research centers. The books are currently shelved in four separate areas: General Collection, Medical Collection, Arab Language Collection and the Law Collection.
The library follows the open stacks policy and uses the Library of Congress Classification System to organize book materials on the shelves. Faculty members, students, staff, and visitors can search for books using the online library catalog on the library website. Public access computers are available inside the library for use. Library staff are available to assist as needed.
Subscribed E-Collections
The AUIB library provides access to a variety of e-resources through access and perpetual subscriptions with multidisciplinary and specialized databases. These databases are available for faculty, researchers, English language learning, and college students as well as AUIB staff and academic visitors. The library regularly reviews the usage of these databases for renewal, cancellation and/or enhancing. The subscription to such databases is a significant investment in our students and researchers, so we encourage our community to use these databases to support teaching, studying, researching, assignments and projects writing.
