Borrowed books must be returned on or before the due date. Reference material may not be borrowed. Books held on reserve may be borrowed for short periods inside the library. Ask at the circulation desk.
Books must be returned to the Circulation Desk.
Books may be renewed twice if they are not on hold for others. Borrowers may renew books online through the library system using their AUIB accounts, by sending a renewal request through email, or by visiting the Circulation Desk.
Patrons are responsible for returning books in the same condition as they were borrowed. Any damage found in books may result in fines charged to the borrower’s record. Types of damage for which users will be charged include but are not limited to — water damage, pen/pencil marks, highlighting, and torn/ripped pages or covers. The user responsible is liable and must either buy a replacement copy or pay its full price in addition to handling and processing fees. Borrowers are liable for the full replacement cost of any lost books or other materials.
